TikTok Made Me Do It!
Kept the American theme going after Glen’s Waldorf salad for lunch and decided to make him one of his favourites: hot dogs. They’re definitely not my thing, but TikTok insists on shoving them in my face, so apparently the algorithm won this round.
I made a simple beef chilli with plenty of spices, garlic and tomato purée, then left it to cook low and slow. The hot dogs themselves were straight from a packet and boiled, because frankly you can’t make a proper trashy hot dog with a fancy sausage. Topped them with the chilli, raw onion, cheese and my best baseball-game attempt at mustard and ketchup.
I made myself a quick pork and noodle stir-fry instead, but the chilli dogs went down an absolute treat with Glen, which was rather the point!
