The story
Welcome to Still Sending You Dinner
For years, whenever I made something I was particularly pleased with for Glen, friends or family, I’d always take a photo and send it to my mum.
Nothing terribly profound. Just a little “Look what I made!” moment.
My mum recently passed away, and one of the many small things I’ve found myself missing is having her there to send those photos to and at times I’ve picked up my phone to send her the photos with my small explanation to remember I can’t do that anymore.
So, this little corner of the internet was born.
Still Sending You Dinner is somewhere for me to keep sharing those meals. The successes, the experiments, the slightly overambitious dinner parties and probably the occasional culinary disaster that looked much better once photographed from the right angle.
I love cooking for people. For me, food has always been about far more than what’s on the plate. It’s about sitting around a table, opening a bottle of something, laughing, talking and making the people you love feel looked after.
So I’ll share the food I make here, along with the recipes, stories and people behind it.
And somewhere in amongst all of that, I’ll keep doing something I’ve done for years:
Taking a photo and thinking,
“Mum would have liked to see this one.”
So Mum, these are still for you.
